Teaching efforts recognised

Dr. Murray Phillips (Human Movement Studies) received the award for the design and delivery of innovative, pedagogical strategies that raise critical awareness of sport, physical activity and health in large lecture settings. Dr. Jason Connor and team (Medicine) were recognised for the development of an innovative clinical communication skills program for medical students.

These citations are two of nine that UQ received as part of the Australian Government’s Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education annual awards. They recognise longstanding commitment by university staff who have shown outstanding innovation and leadership. The winners will receive $10,000, part of a $2.53 million prize pool.
