Background
Dr Ian Jobling was an associate professor within the School of Human Movement Studies. He retired in April 2005 after 27 years at The University of Queensland. Dr Jobling continues his association with UQ as an Honorary Reader and Director of the Centre for Olympic Studies.
Dr Jobling is an Honorary Life Member and Vice Patron of UQ Sport.
Research Interests
Sociocultural aspects of sport, physical activity and physical education, especially sport and Olympic history, sport and Olympic education, gender issues, art and literature and ethics in sport.

- Research consultancy to review elite athlete higher education pathways and provide advice and recommendations in regard to optimal higher education options and their implementation for athletes
