Background
Sue Jackson completed a PhD in sport and exercise psychology at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, under the direction of Professor Daniel Gould, in the early 90's. Dr Jackson currently holds an adjunct position in the School, having previously worked in academic appointments in sport and exercise psychology at the University of Queensland, QUT, CSU, and VUT. Dr Jackson has particular interest in the area of flow, or optimal experience, in physical activity. In conjunction with the foremost authority on flow--Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi--Dr Jackson co-authored Flow in Sports: The Keys to Optimal Experiences and Performances. This book has been popular with both academic and applied audiences, with six language translations currently in print. Sue's research has led to significant international collaboration across several countries including the USA, England, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Italy, France, Greece, and Turkey. Dr Jackson holds a diploma in yoga teaching with the International Yoga Teacher's Association (IYTA), and is a full member of IYTA and the Yoga Teacher's Association of Australia (YTAA).
