Human Movement Science
Overview
Human Movement Science is available as a field of study within the Graduate Certificate in Science (GCSc) and the Graduate Diploma in Science (GDipSc) programs offered through the University's Faculty of Biological & Chemical Sciences.
Why Study Human Movement Science at UQ
Programs allow graduates from degrees in fields related to human movement studies to:
- Undertake advanced courses in the bio-physical sciences areas of
human movement studies - Undertake advanced courses in related areas of biological science
- Complete research project work in areas of human movement science as a prelude to higher degree study in the field
The program is available at two levels, with students able to articulate from the Graduate Certificate to the Graduate Diploma as they progress through the program.
Entry Requirements
To enter the program, students hold an approved degree; or have completed post-secondary study and 2 years relevant work experience approved by the executive dean.

Program
The GCSc is a one-semester full time (or 2-4 semesters part time) postgraduate program of study while the GDipSc is a further one-semester of full time study (or longer part-time) completed after the initial completion of the GCSc. The total duration of the GDipSc is therefore two semesters (one year) full-time or 4-8 semesters part time.
