On-Program Honours
On-Program Honours will be available to BScApp(HMS) students who have who have achieved a specified minimum GPA (grade point average) from all courses in years 1 and 2 and all courses in semester 1 of year 3. Students selected to undertake honours in years 3 and 4 of their degree will be required to follow either the HMS-Education Honours plan or the HMS-Exercise Science Honours plan which can be found on Page 13 of the Student Guide. Final class of honours will be determined by academic achievement (GPA) across all courses in the program.
The following scale indicates level of honours:
FOR STUDENTS COMMENCING IN 2005
6.200 - 7.000 First Class (Class I Honours)
5.800 - 6.199 Second Class A (Class IIA Honours)
5.000 - 5.799 Second Class B (Class IIB Honours)
4.000 - 4.999 Pass Degree
Students who do not undertake the on-program honours program will receive a pass degree without Honours.
FOR STUDENTS COMMENCING PRIOR TO 2005
6.000 - 7.000 First Class (Class I Honours)
5.600 - 5.990 Second Class A (Class IIA Honours)
5.100 - 5.590 Second Class B (Class IIB Honours)
4.000 - 5.099 Pass Degree
Students with a GPA less than 5.100 will receive a pass degree without Honours.
